Benchmark was contacted by
an electrical producer in the Midwest at the beginning of December and asked to
move 3 Stewart & Stevenson LM 6000 generator kits with accessories that had
to move before December 31. If the equipment was not out of Texas, then the buyer would be responsible for inventory taxes. The largest piece weighed 176,000 lbs. Benchmark arranged a barge to move the turbine, generator and control house out of Texas before December 31. We also employed approximately 100 trucks to move the accessories. All equipment was out of Texas by December 31. The accessories were moved to the site in the Midwest and the turbine, generator and control house were moved to a staging area on the Ohio River to be delivered when the site was ready.  |
