Benchmark Worldwide Transport
contracted to coordinate to move all of the equipment including generators, turbines
and their accessories, as well as the tools and machines to overhaul these items
from the warehouse/refit station in Pensacola to a new location located in Iuca,
Mississippi. Benchmark used over 400 flatbed/vans as well as 5 barges to move the equipment. Benchmark kept a concise inventory of each item that was removed from the facility. The entire movement was accomplished in 30 days. After the equipment was moved to Iuka, 3 generator sets were moved under the supervision of Benchmark to a peak power facility in Dalton, Georgia using 6 heavy duty railcars pulled by a dedicated locomotive.  |
